Lindapter Develops New Cladding Fixing Range
The Lindapter company has for very many years provided a unique fixing system for steel building and structural work which uses a set of clamping systems to join the steelwork according to the design.Using clamps means there is no or little requirement for drilling and fixing of the steelwork using a nut and bolt system. This saves time and also allows for the adjustment on site of any slight discrepancies in steelwork to be adapted and fixed immediately on site.Any holes which are slightly out of line can cause a major problem for the construction crew but the clamping system allows for correction immediately. The clamping system is extremely quick for erection times and the work force can also work very safely in the erection process. In the erection system operators only have a clamp to hold while tightening and not a nut a bolt and two spanners. One of the problems used to be the fixing of claddings to the structural steel, which often required drilling and bolting, but the company have recently developed a new range of fixing for all sorts of claddings and glazings. The cladding of a building is always one of the most important and sometimes the most difficult but the new range is extremely good for connection of glazed facades and precast cladding panels for both ease of connection and the adjustability of the panels.Adjustability on site is one of the most useful of the construction jobs as it allows on site problems to be resolved in situ with a little adjustment and saves off site correction problems which cannot only be difficult to do but can also prove to be extremely time consuming. There is a full range of fittings much in the same way as the steelwork clamping systems so that the cladding can be fitted not only vertically and horizontally but also on a range of angles for the different slopes. The system has provided a good addition to the typical steelwork construction system and allows the user to carry out the whole project using one basic system. The speed of construction has always been a major advantage for the clamping system whilst retaining the integrity of the clamped joint and the new system which allows a similar process to be applied to the glazing facades and precast cladding provides a similar advantage to the finishing work on the building.
