I originally purchased this ladder stand because I thought the wrap around would be nice. I purchased 2 other 2 man ladder stands from other manufacturers. By comparision this ladder is very weak and not sturdy at all. The other 2 man stands both have very firm ladders. I have no concerns regarding climbing up those other ladder stands. This ladder stand does give me that confidence. The ladder bent at the second connection joint when using the 30-06 second man kit and cranking the stand in place. This tree stand has a large seat. Tight fit for two but then again I've never sat in a "roomy" two-man tree stand, there is plenty room for 1 plus all your gear. My only real complaint is that there is no back support, so make sure the tree you lean it against is big, and make sure you wear your vest. I took a tie-down strap and ran it behind the tree along the two arm rests and made myself a red-neck back support. The bolts have started to show signs of rust after a years use but I just sprayed them with rustoleum.
