The new Mighty Step for above-ground pools combines graceful design with incomparable safety. They feature wide, non-slip steps and two easy-to-grab hand rails with deck mounting brackets for safety and stability. Mighty Steps new design allows for the side panels to be filled with sand to keep the steps in place, eliminating the need for bulky bricks or messy sand bags. Designed for flat bottom pools with 48" or 54" walls the Mighty Step utilizes flow through side panels allowing water to flow freely behind and beneath the steps, preventing algae growth! The 30" Mighty Step comes complete with steps, two hand rails with mounting brackets, hardware and installation instructions. 1 Year Warranty. 400lb Capacity.

First of all, I bought this because it says it supports up to 400 pounds and I am a pretty big guy and needed something that strong 4 myself as well as my mom who likes to get in the pool with my kids. But I'm very nervous stepping on these. They were NOT easy to assemble, mostly because putting the sand in the side panels was a huge pain. You have to put 25 lbs of sand in each through a 1 inch hole, they suggest pouring it thru funnel but unless you have perfectly dry sand that won't work at all. Then when you try to put the pieces together they don't hold in place well at all and every time you try to set it upright it falls apart. It did finally hold together ok once we got it in the water and all the air out and filled with water. But one of the feet would not go on no matter how hard I tried. I finally got it to go on by whittling some of the extra plastic of with a knife and now only stays in place with the weight... "It's not hard if you follow instructions" The only instruction I DID NOT DO was fill it with sand cause we want to take it out in the winter time So what we did was drill extra holes into the sides of the steps close to the bottom where the front pegs go on and let the steps fill with water and it set right on the bottom of the pool with ease I take no responsibility if you try what i did and screw up 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful great, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 30" Mighty Step for Above Ground Pools (45" H x 30" W x 34"D) We just received this ladder and have it in the pool. It is great and very easy to get in and out of the pool. It was a little tough getting it in the pool. It took three people to get it in but it is really great. The only thing the directions should tell you not to fill the sides up with sand all the way we had a little sand come out but not that much to complain about. I don't know how we will get it out of the pool since it is so heavy but we will worry about that when the time comes. Really love the ladder! |
