This ladder weighs about 7.5 pounds and is very easy to tote up a stair case or other difficult locations (very important to me). It is well designed and built with two 3.25-inch deep steps and a single large 12.5-inch square top platform which latches to the back brace. Such steps are sturdy and give a good sense of security (you can lean against the upper brace for more daring reaches when standing on the platform). It was just what I was looking for and now I feel lucky that I found it (Lowe's). Lots of great competition in the two, three and four light-weight step ladders, but Rubbermaid has a winner with this ultra light one. A few things come to mind: lightweight, durable, size and price point. The Rubbermaid 3-step lives up to all of these points. I probably use it around 5 days a week in my apartment and the ladder's size is paramount for setting up in tight closet spaces or hallways within my city apartment.
