It would appear the design has been purchased and re-purchased a number of times with changes/improvements being performed through the process.The best thing about this design is the one-handed operation of the lock bar that allows the release of the joints by lifting the bar. Can't beat the ease of use. Once you learn the right steps to open the ladder, it should only take a few seconds to have the ladder fully extened. I purchased this for a replacement of my old ladder, that is still functional, but one of the plastic feet broke, and I was unable to find a replacment part. Also I have the 12' version and opted to upgrade to the 16'. I use the ladder to climb roofs and as I am getting a little older the though of a few more feet above the roof line appeals to me. ***Take Note*** The photo of this product is incorrect. The problem I have started the second time I went to use it. The center section lock would not release. I made a number of attempts to contact Climb-tec about the problem over the past two years and to date, have mot heard one word from the company as to how to repair this problem. Needles to say my ladder is just sitting unless I can use it for work no higher that 6'. When operating correctly, I loved the ladder. It did everything I expected and more however, I now have a ladder that does not work. Please surprise me by telling me what I must do to get a fix. |
